Stimmung started as a commission by the Laing Gallery, Newcastle for Notes on a Return 2009.
The work takes Bruce Mclean's 1986 performance 'Good Violence and Physical Manners' as its starting point, interweaving ideas from Stockhausen's famous 1968 work Stimmung, for six vocalists and six microphones. For more information please see this PDF.
The work culminated in a performance at the gallery with local singers from St Jude's Church Choir
